Mindfulness drop-in class

Saturdays 10-11am @ ZenYoga, Camberwell

Led by experienced mindfulness teachers, Chris, Mark & Jo, these sessions will focus on developing your awareness of the impact of your mind on how you live your life. Workshops coming up in Camberwell for women only

Hello All who have shown an interest in Women Fix It,

We are really happy to let you all know we have a whole bunch of sessions coming up at Camberwell. Thanks to BeeUrban and Camberwell Subterriania.

We have changed how we will roll out these classes and have had to add a charge of £20 per class for last 6 classes in the spring as we have no funding for these.

So get on the free list If you can!

We have three classes to teach and its up to you which sessions you can attended and when.
The dates are:

Free:
28/01/2017-M Check
04/02/2017-Brakes
11/02/2017-Puncture Repair

18/02/2017-M Check
25/02/2017-Brakes
04/03/2017-Puncture Repair

Paid:

01/04/2017-Puncture Repair

22/04/2017-M Check
29/04/2017-Brake
06 /05/2017-Puncture Repair

M Check– getting to know all the part names of your bike how it works and how to clean and lubricate correctly. A chance to take things apart and put them back together. Looking at the Ball bearing parts of the bike and the chain drive. How your bike runs together to move you forward. From contact points to cables.

Brakes– Starting to work on how brakes work, types of brakes, how to change pads and parts of your own brakes on your own bike (some parts available from subterriania). All works are safety checked before leaving!

Puncture Repair– How to repair a puncture correctly on the move and at home quickly and safely…too does and not. This session is the most useful and cost effective. Advice on tyre type, sizing of inner tube and tyre sizing knowledge. What does 700×32 mean?? How do you replace a schwalbe marathon plus tyre??!!

You do not have to come along three weeks in a row but we ask that you do come along for all three classes if you start the course.

Please get in touch and get your name on the list.

CAMBERWELL COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING

Camberwell Community Council meeting

31 Jan 6:30pm, at Theatre Peckham, [ their new building ] 221 Havil Street, Camberwell, London SE5 7SD

In response to feedback, in which people indicated a need for more time to discuss issues and to find out what is happening in their area, we are changing the format of community councils, so they will be more informal and flexible.
This meeting will be the first of the new format meetings, and we are keen to make it as interesting and engaging as possible.

The theme is, Question Time, where we have confirmed guest speakers, The Borough Commander, on Community Safety and Florence Eshalomi, the Assembly Member, on Transport issues.

There will also be the Cleaner, Greener, Safer, 2017/18 decisions and the Theatre Peckham Choir are performing.

Let me know if your organisation would like to have an information table at the meeting. Please kindly invite your friends and neighbours for the meeting on the Tuesday 31 January 2017

Look forward to seeing you
