TV actor Jenny Agutter O.B.E. backs Camberwell Banners and new partnership with Denmark Hill Station But we still need help from local residents and businesses to reach our Camberwell Banners crowdfunding target on Spacehive! Local actor Jenny Agutter O.B.E., star of Call the Midwife, has now joined actor Lorraine Chase in supporting our Camberwell Banners crowdfunding project on Spacehive, And with the £6,500 Mayor of London matchfunding too, we’re getting near our target. Just £1,078 more to raise to reach £10,703. But we’ve only got 22 days left! We need your help to brighten our high street and support our local cafes, shops and businesses! We want to thank all those fantastic pledgers to Camberwell Banners so far. But if you haven’t already, if you can pledge any amount to Camberwell Banners, however big or small amount, or pledge again just £5 – we will be able to install inspiring lamppost banners down Denmark Hill. Or why not spread the word and encourage a friend or colleague to give. Please pledge here at: www.spacehive.com/camberwell-banners As Jenny Agutter tweets: “Support your local shops and facilities folks… Enjoy them quietly in case they disappear quietly!” Jenny Agutter is not only backing our Camberwell Banners project but has also launched a new local partnership with Denmark Hill Station – with the help of Mole the terrier. Jenny, famous for her role in the Railway Children, was welcomed by new Station Manager Louis Williams, Florence Eshalomi, Chair of the Transport Committee of the London Assembly, local Councillor Jason Ochere and members of the Camberwell Identity group, who represent Camberwell Arts, Camberwell Society and SE5 Forum. Local residents including Mole the terrier joined in. The colourful signposting installed at Denmark Hill station – along with the Camberwell Banners – will lead station visitors to explore the great shops, cafes & green spaces down in Camberwell. Anyone can pledge (again) to Camberwell Banners here: www.spacehive.com/camberwell-banners Many thanks from SE5 Forum, Camberwell Arts and Camberwell Society, working with the local community. |
