Set at the height of roaring 1920’s London, Blackmail tells the story of Alice White (Anna Ondra), the daughter of a Chelsea shopkeeper. After dinner ends in a quarrel with her boyfriend, Scotland Yard detective Frank Webber (John Longden), Alice finds herself at the centre of her very own crime scene. But with her boyfriend on the case, will Alice’s secret stay hidden and does anyone else know about the events of that fateful night..?

St Giles’ organist Ashley Valentine will be accompanying the film on piano with songs by Camberwell Community Choir and a live jazz band. There’ll be a bar and 1920’s costumes are encouraged! Families are welcome although the film is rated PG with a running time of 80mins + 20 minute interval.
Tickets bought online at wegottickets.com will have spaces reserved in church but we are unable to reserve any other tickets in advance.
