See how you could help improve our neighbourhood and leave inspired about what’s next for Camberwell!

During the evening, you’ll hear from our Chair Sophy Tayler on what we’ve achieved this year – from cleaner streets and thriving markets to stronger partnerships across Camberwell. Our Treasurer will also share how we’ve put your support to work and we will be unveiling the new SE5 Forum Strategy. You’ll hear from a lively panel chaired by Marie Staunton, on how we can build a better Camberwell, and how Southwark and Lambeth can champion our area. We’ll also be electing the new Board to lead the next stage of our journey.

We will be sharing insights on the new Camberwell Business App, upcoming community events and local clean-ups. You’ll also have the chance to share your ideas and priorities in our open discussion.

Camberwell Town Centre Action Plan: Give your views
Southwark Council has published its Camberwell Town Centre Action Plan – you can read it here.

Finally changes are on the horizon for our  town centre. The plan is aimed at making our streets greener, safer, and more vibrant.

Improvements to Camberwell Station Road can already be seen with planters, eight new trees, street drainage, traffic calming and a cycle lane. Here is what to expect next:

What’s Changing?
The plan focuses on revitalising our town centre by:

✅ Improving bus journey times and road safety on Camberwell Road, Denmark Hill and Camberwell Church Street.

✅ Supporting local businesses with grants and funding (four local businesses have received grants so far).

Will this help you?
Whether you’re a resident, a business owner, or a visitor – do you think these changes will improve your experience of the town centre? Let SE5 Forum know and also fill in the feedback form on Southwark Council websiteThe action plan will be published every 6 months.
