Kings College Hospital (KCH)

KCH is one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals. It is also a local hospital serving the diverse population of Camberwell. KCH has built its world-class reputation over the last 170 years and has roots that lie firmly in the heart of the community. KCH NHS Foundation Trust, is one of the UK’s leading Trusts and also has responsibility for Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough Common and Orpington Hospital. Maudsley Hospital

Maudsley Hospital is part of South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Foundation Trust, which provides the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. SLaM also provides substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. As well as serving Camberwell and the wider communities of south London, SLaM provides more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK including perinatal services, eating disorders, psychosis and autism. SLaM has a unique scope because it is built on the principles of Henry Maudsley when he founded the Maudsley Hospital in the early 1900s: care and treatment, science and research, and training.
 

Kings College London (KCL)

Camberwell is home to one of the main health campuses of Kings College London (KCL). The University is the largest centre for healthcare education in Europe, providing education and research in the widest range of subjects allied to medicine of any London institution.
The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is also based in Camberwell. This faculty of King’s College London is Europe’s largest centre for research and postgraduate education in mental health and brain sciences. IoPPN and SLaM jointly host the UK’s only biomedical research centre specialising in mental health, with the aim of translating scientific developments into new ways of screening, detecting, treating and preventing mental illness.
 

Maudsley Learning at Work

Maudsley Learning at Work provides world-class, accessible learning in mental health, specifically for workplace settings. Based at the Ortus Learning and Events Centre in Camberwell, Maudsley Learning at Work are a subsidiary of the Maudsley Charity, which invests in innovative mental health related projects, shares expertise and creates infrastructure. www.maudsleylearning.com
