Arts & Culture

Camberwell has a long-standing artistic reputation and a thriving cultural scene. Famous residents include Robert Browning, John Ruskin and Muriel Spark, and Camberwell is also home to the world-renowned Camberwell College of Arts, the South London Gallery, and the Blue Elephant Theatre.

The SE5 Forum works to support the arts in Camberwell by:

Promoting awareness and publicity for local events
Providing occasional, one-off small grants to support development of ideas for new events or arts projects
Collaborate with local arts organizations such as Camberwell Arts
