Anna Minton, writer, journalist and reader in architecture at the University of East London, will be reading from her book Big Capital – Who Is London For?, followed by a discussion, at a special meeting hosted by Southwark Green Party at Camberwell library on Thursday 9 November.
London is facing the worst housing crisis in modern times, with knock-on effects for the rest of the UK. Published in June this year, shortly before the Grenfell Tower disaster, Big Capital was described by the Financial Times as “a studied, sustained attack on a market that has been mishandled by successive governments for 40 years”.
The talk is preceded by the AGM of Southwark Green Party, which begins at 6.45pm. Anna will be speaking from 8-9pm.
