Camberwell Free Film Festival is back this year, showcasing a powerful yet eclectic collection of award winning short films, awe-inspiring documentaries and emotive local narratives from independent filmmakers and storytellers – all online, for free, for one day only.
Films include BIFA nominated “Wren Boys” and Sundance Jury Award winner “The Devil’s Harmony” – with exclusive interviews. Documentaries cover the Nomadic Berbers of the Sahara, the Palawan women standing up to mining companies in the Philippines and the 76 year old last inhabitant of Georgia’s highest village. Local narratives include insight into the filming of the famous Cruson’s greengrocer, queer love stories, comedic current affairs and a spoken word session from London’s best poets. More works are still to be announced and a detailed itinerary will be released from the Camberwell Arts social media and website in due course. Head to camberwellarts.org.uk/cfff for more details.
Date: Thursday 17th December 2020
Time: 5pm – 11pm
Location: online at camberwellarts.org.uk/cfff with the majority of films also streamed on the Camberwell Arts Facebook page and Youtube channels.
